Objectives:

• to read about mall in southern England and answer the questions;
• to write a similar blog about one of the malls in Ukraine;
• to develop students’ reading and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about shopping

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

 

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Interactive task 1.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. Read the blog written by Sue. Then answer the questions (ex.1, p.70)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. Write a similar blog about one of the malls in Ukraine. Add some photos of it (ex.2, p.70)

Slide 11. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

Slide 12-13. Work in Workbook. Write an e-mail to your friend. Tell him/her about your Christmas shopping (ex.1, p.53)

Slide 14. Interactive task 2.

Assessment and evaluation:

Slide 15. Ending of the lesson. Summarizing.

Slide 16.  Ending of the lesson. Say “Goodbye!”
