Objectives:

• to learn some places in a city/town ;
• to read three dialogues taking place at different places ;
• to have practice in identifying specific information in the dialogues;
• to develop students’ writing and reading skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about places in the town/city

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Discuss.

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. Where can you find the following in this module? Go through the module and find the pictures ( p.43)

Main activity:

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Complete the sentences with the places in the box. Then listen and check your answers (ex.1, p.44)

Slide 11-13. Work with Student’s Book. READ A) Listen and read. Where would you hear these dialogues? Choose from the names of the places in activity 1 and write them in the box (ex.2, p.44)

Slide 14-15. Work with Student’s Book. READ B) Read again and write T for True or F for False (ex.2, p.44)

Slide 16. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

 Slide 17-18. Work in Workbook. A) Look at the pictures and write where you can find the objects (ex.4, p.38)
