Objectives:

• to read a letter about British press;
• to read the tips of writing a news story;
• to work in groups discussing the ideas of a news story for the school newspaper;
• to write a news story for the school newspaper;
• to develop reading and writing skills;
• to promote the positive attitude through studying the language.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to retell about British press and write a news story for the school newspaper.
