• to learn vocabulary related to gadgets;
• to read the forum posts and doing tasks;
• to develop memory;
• to develop students’ speaking and reading skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about technologies

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

 

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Discuss.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. Where can you find the following in this module? Go through the module and find the pictures ( p.17)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Match the words with the items 1-11 in the picture. Then listen and check your answers (ex.1, p.18)

Slide 11. Gadget Guessing Game.

Slide 12-14. Work with Student’s Book. READ A) Look at the three posts from an online forum. Listen and read. What in each person? Match the people with a-d. There is one extra option which you will not need to use (ex.1, p.18)

Slide 15-17. Work with Student’s Book. B) Read the forum posts again and the statements below. Write O for Oliver, F for Fran and E for Emma (ex.2, p.18)

Slide 18. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

 Slide 19-20. Work in Workbook. A) Look at the pictures and complete the crossword (ex.1, p.15)
