Objectives:

• to answer the questions;
• to put the verbs into the correct tense form;
• to develop speaking skills;
• to promote thinking and imagination.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to answer the questions and put the verbs into the correct tense form.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Main activity:

Slide 5. Work with Student’s Book. Look through the newspaper index. Say what topics this issue covers. (ex.5, p.26)

Slide 6. Look through the newspaper index. Listen and say what topics this issue covers.

Slide 7. Work with Student’s Book. Use the newspaper index in Ex. 5 and answer the questions below. Name the section where you can find the information and the page number it appears. (ex.6, p.26)

Slide 8-14. Answer the questions.

Slide 15. Work with Student’s Book. Look through the newspaper index again.

Work in pairs. Discuss what information you are interested in. What pages can you find it on? (ex.7, p.26)
