Objectives:

• to learn and practise the Past Simple Passive Voice;
• to talk about the importance of getting to know the news;
• to find and read one article from the local newspaper and write a short summary about the events;
• to train students’ grammar skills;
• to develop speaking and writing skills;
• to develop self-esteem and mutual-esteem.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to use Past Simple Passive Voice in oral and written speech, to talk about the importance of getting to know the news.
