Objectives:

• to speak about activities at the youth clubs;
• to have practice in using adjectives describing nouns and verbs;
• to listen and read dialogue and doing tasks;
• to develop students’ writing and reading skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about activities

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Club Activity Brainstorm.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY A) Read the sentences on the right. What’s the difference between the adjectives in bold? (ex.1, p.10)

Slide 8-9. Work with Student’s Book. B) Circle the correct words (ex.1, p.10)

Slide 10-11. Work with Student’s Book. READ A) Look at the picture. Where do you think Liv, Stu and Amy are? What are they doing? Listen to the dialogue and check your answers. Then read it out in groups (ex.2, p.10)

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book. READ B) Read again and correct the sentences (ex.2, p.10)

Slide 14. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:
