Objectives:

• to read an informal letter;
• to introduce the opening and the closing remarks of the informal letter;
• to write an informal letter to the pen friend;
• to introduce the pattern of writing an essay;
• to develop the students’ writing skills;
• to promote positive attitude through studying the language.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to write a letter to their pen friends, to write an essay to the magazine.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.
