Objectives:

• to learn about adverbs of frequency and using them in the context correctly;
• to improve listening skills;
• to talk in pairs about how often you and other members of your family do housework;
• to develop students’ writing and listening skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about actions

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Picture Description.

Main activity:

Slide 6. Grammar.

Slide 7-8. Work with Student’s Book. GRAMMAR Put the words in the correct order to make sentences (ex.3, p.9)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. LISTEN Listen to two short dialogues and answer the questions. Choose a, b or c (ex.4, p.9)

Slide 11-12. Work with Student’s Book. SPEAK Talk in pairs about how often you and other members of your family do housework (ex.5, p.9)

Slide 14. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

 Slide 15-16. Work in Workbook. C) Rewrite the sentences using the adverbs of frequency in brackets (ex.1, p.6)

Slide 17-18. Work with Student’s Book. D) Write questions using How often and the prompts given. Then look at Mandy’s schedule and answer them, as in the example (ex.1, p.7)

Slide 19-20. Work with Student’s Book. E) Complete the dialogue with the questions a-e. There is one extra question (ex.1, p.7)
