Objectives:

• to learn about Past Simple Passive and have practice in using it in context;
• to raise awareness of silent letters in words ;
• to have practice in using the Past Simple Passive through a famous facts quiz;

• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about Oscar Award

Slide 10-11. Work with Student’s Book. PRONUNCIATION A) Listen and repeat. Which letters are silent? (ex.3, p.99)

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book. PRONUNCIATION B) Read the words and underline the silent letters. Then listen and check your answers (ex.3, p.99)

Slide 14-16. Work with Student’s Book. SPEAK AND WRITE A) Talk in pairs. Form questions using the prompts below and the Past Simple Passive, and try to guess the answers. Then check the answers with your teacher (ex.4, p.99)
