Objectives:

• to meet with vocabulary about a magazine;
• to have opportunity to elaborate on the topic of the reading text;
• to have practice in using some of the vocabulary presented in the lesson in the context;
• to develop students’ reading and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about magazine

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Magazine Name Game.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. READ A) Look at the pictures and read the captions a-e. Put them in order. Then listen and check your answers ( ex.1, p.96)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. READ B) Read again and answer the questions (ex.1, p.96)

Slide 11. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Complete the sentences with the words in the box (ex.2, p.97)

 Slide 14-15. Work in Workbook. A) Circle the correct words (ex.8, p.82)
