Objectives:

• to learn about Present Perfect;

• to improve listening skills through doing tasks;
• to have an experience sharing using Present Perfect;
• to develop students’ writing and listening skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about events

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Interactive task 1.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. Complete the sentences with the words from the box (ex.1, p.119)

Slide 8-9. Work with Student’s Book. a) Look and read to find out the route of John’s trip (ex.2, p.119)

Slide 10-12. Work with Student’s Book. b) Listen to his talk with Mum and say, as in the example (ex.2, p.119)

Slide 13. Experience Sharing.

Slide 14. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

Slide 15-17. Work with Student’s Book. c) Listen again. Then ask and answer , using the word combinations and the example below (ex.2, p.119)

Slide 18. Work with Student’s Book. Tell the class where you have been to / what you have seen there / if you have taken photos / if you have bought some souvenirs / if you have made new friends, etc. (ex.3, p.119)
