• to watch cartoon about dog’s diary
• to develop students’ reading and speaking skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to speak about animals

Warm-up:

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Slide 5. Brainstorming.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. READING Look at the photos. How these animals helping people? Do you think it is bad to use animals in this way? Discuss your ideas with your partner (ex.1, p.92)

Slide 8-10. Work with Student’s Book. Read Part 1 of the article. Match two of the photos A-C to this of the article. Then find three things that guide horses can do and two things that monkey helpers can do (ex.2, p.92)

Slide 11-13. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the photos again. What do you think Part 2 of the article is about? Read it quickly to check your ideas. Then choose the correct answer for each gap (ex.3, p.92)

Slide 14-15. Work with Student’s Book. In pairs, look at all the choices for Ex.5 again and answer the question. How did you choose the correct answers? (ex.4, p.92)
