Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Large numbers  Match the numbers to the words. Find all the big numbers in the text and write them in words. Then listen and check. In pairs, practice saying the numbers (ex.1, p.93)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. PRONUNCIATION  Word stress  Listen to the numbers and underline the stressed syllable. Can you make a rule about the stress in numbers? Work in pairs. Practise saying the numbers (ex.2, p.93)

Slide 11. Work with Student’s Book. Work in pairs. Student A, say a number from the text . Student B, close your book. Can you remember  what the number refers to? (ex.3, p.93)

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book. LISTENING  You will hear a man giving some information about different languages. In pairs, discuss the possible answers. Listen and check (ex.1, p.93)
