Objectives:

• to learn some TV programmes ;
• to have practice in reading for gist and identifying specific information in the dialogue;
• to develop students’ creativity, speaking and reading skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about TV programmes

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Discuss.

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. Where can you find the following in this module? Go through the module and find the pictures ( p.79)

Main activity:

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Match the pictures with the TV programmes. Then listen and check your answers (ex.1, p.80)

Slide 11-12. Work with Student’s Book. READ A) Look at the picture and guess what is happening. Listen to the dialogue and check. Then read it out in groups (ex.2, p.80)

Slide 13-14. Work with Student’s Book. READ B) Read again and write T for True or F for False (ex.2, p.81)

Slide 15. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

 Slide 16-18. Work in Workbook. A) Read the dialogues and guess what kind of TV programme the people are watching (ex.7, p.68)
