Objectives:

• to play mini Geocache Hunt in the classroom;
• to develop students’ reading skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about free-time activities

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Treasure Box Mystery.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. READING  Look at the photos and the title of the blog. What do you think geocaching is? Read the blog once to check your ideas (ex.1, p.88)

Slide 8-10. Work with Student’s Book. Read the text again. For each question, choose the correct answer (ex.2, p.88)

Slide 11.Talking Points.

Slide 12. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

Slide 13-14. Work in Workbook. READING  Read the blog quickly. What is Sascha’s hobby? Would you like to try this hobby? Why? / Why not? (ex.1, p.62)

Slide 15-17. Work in Workbook. For each question, choose the correct answer (ex.2, p.62)
