Objectives:

• to read about eating habits and traditions around the world;
• to do a project - poster about the most interesting food habits and traditions in Ukraine;
• to develop students’ reading and speaking skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about eating habits

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Interactive task.

Main activity:

Slide 6-10. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the pictures and the headings. Do you know anything about eating habits in these countries? Listen, read and check your answers ( ex.A, p.111)

Slide 11. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Slide 12-14. Work with Student’s Book. Read the text again and answer the questions (ex. B, p.111)

Practice:

Slide 15-16. Work with Student’s Book. PROJECT Make a poster! (p.111)
