Objectives:

• to meet with a sample for writing an e-mail to a friend giving news about a new free-time activity;
• to have practice in reading for specific information;
• to write answer for e-mail;
• to develop students’ writing and speaking skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about sport

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Main activity:

Slide 6-9. Work with Student’s Book. SPEAK & WRITE A) Read the e-mail and answer the questions ( ex.3, p.76)

Slide 10-11. Work with Student’s Book. SPEAK & WRITE B) Think about an activity you took up in the recent past. Look at the questions in the speech bubble and make some notes. Then talk in pairs. (ex.3, p.77)

Slide 12. Gymnastic for the eyes.
