Objectives:

  • to speak about favourite films;

  • to have practice in using conjunctions in the context correctly;
  • to develop students’ writing and reading skills;
  • to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about films

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Main activity:

Slide 7-9. Work with Student’s Book. READING Read about the films. What type of film do you think each one is? (ex.1, p.70)

Slide 10-11. Work with Student’s Book. In pairs, answer the questions (ex.2, p.70)

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Conjunctions ( ex.1, p.70)

Slide 14-15. Work with Student’s Book. Find and underline all the conjunctions on the cinema web page. Study the sentences carefully, then match the two halves of the sentences below ( ex.1, p.71)

Slide 16-17. Work with Student’s Book. Complete the sentences so that are true for you. Then, in groups, compare your answers ( ex.2, p.71)
