• to have practice in pronunciation three-syllable words;
• to do job research project;
• to develop students’ speaking and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to speak about professions

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. About you.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY AND READING Match the photos A-P to the words in the box. Listen and check. Then repeat (ex.1, p.36)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. Choose five of the jobs and say what the person does. In groups, say your sentences and see if the students can guess the job ( ex.2, p.36)

Slide 11-12. Work with Student’s Book. In groups , look at the adjectives in the box. Say which jobs they apply to ( ex.3, p.37)

Slide 13. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Slide 14-15. Work with Student’s Book. PRONUNCIATION Three-syllable words Listen and repeat the words. Then put them into the correct column (ex.4, p.37)

Slide 16-18. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the title of the article and the photo. What do you think the article is about? Read it once to check your ideas. In pairs, answer the questions (ex.5, p.37)
