• to have practice in describing people;
• to develop students’ reading and speaking skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about family

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

 

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Interactive task 1.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the picture below and guess what the text is going to be about ( ex.1, p.29)

Slide 8-11. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the picture again and read the text. Point to each person and say their names and who they are (ex .2, p.29)

Slide 12-14. Work with Student’s Book. Read the text again and complete the sentences (ex.3, p.30)

Slide 15-17. Work with Student’s Book. Correct the sentences (ex.4, p.28)

Slide 18. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Slide 19. Describe a Friend.

Slide 20. Work with Student’s Book. Think about your family members. Tell the class who in your family is helpful / funny / interesting / annoying / boring (ex.5, p.30)

Practice:

Slide 21-24. Work in Workbook. Look at the picture and read the text on page 29-30 in your SB. Write the names (ex.1, p.20)

Slide 25-26. Work in Workbook. Complete the text with the missing words (ex.2, p.20)
