• to read the expressions and match them with their meaning;
• to develop students’ speaking and reading skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about technologies

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Guess the Gadget.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Match. Then listen an check your answers (ex.1, p.20)

Slide 8. Silent Observation.

Slide 9-11. Work with Student’s Book. READ A) Look at the picture. Who do you think is upset? Listen to the dialogue and check your answers. Then read it out in pairs (ex.2, p.20)

Slide 12-14. Work with Student’s Book. B) Read again and find sentences to prove the following (ex.2, p.21)

Slide 15. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

 Slide 16-18. Work in Workbook. A) Match. Then use the phrases to complete the sentences 1-8 (ex.1, p.17)

Slide 19-20. Work in Workbook. B) Read and complete the sentences with the words in the box (ex.1, p.17)
